The company
The story begins with our grandfather, João Moreira, who started working with coffee in 1955. In 1979, after the great frost that occurred in Paraná, he came to Minas Gerais, where coffee was beginning to flourish, and with him came the Coffee Trading Center, of which he was one of the founders.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of buying and selling, samples, and piles of green coffee beans, grew up Natália, a third-generation coffee grower, familiar with all of this culture, and who later entered the coffee market as a trader for one of the largest exporters of specialty coffees in Brazil.
In 2015, the Jaguara Coffee project was born in the Campos das Vertentes region of Minas Gerais, where Natalia and her partner invested in innovative planting and differentiated drying and fermentation processes, focusing on high-quality coffees and minimizing the use of chemicals in the fields, making it a more natural and sustainable option.
The result of these innovations was recognized nationally, earning 5th and 6th place in the Cup of Excellence with a score of 90.47, thanks to the acclaimed fermentation process that is now our flagship product, called "Crazy Coffee".
In addition to our own farms, we also advise other farming families, thus extending our innovative knowledge gained through national recognition, creating a strong community of micro-producers who share our values and ideals.
From this continuous support, and with the achievement of several quality awards, one of the sites monitored by the Jaguara team and in total harmony with our values, became Toca da Jaguara, in Cambuquira, on the famous Piripau Route, being officially incorporated into Jaguara Coffee in 2025, becoming our model farm.
Improved planting practices and agroforestry systems, prioritizing the intelligent use of natural resources, have resulted in our Carbon Negative (CO² Negative) certification, a recognition stemming from our commitment to environmental preservation, in which we filter more CO² than all our processes on the farm and in the office emit.
Today, Jaguara is much more than just farms and the production of specialty coffees. We are a space dedicated to caring for people, transforming the future of hundreds of families through social projects like "Seeds of the Future," which, in addition to improving education, also supports vulnerable children, bringing them a better quality of life.
We are committed to the land, to coffee, and to all the families around us, always focused on our mission, which is to make this world a better and fairer place.
